Action Selling is a systematic approach for managing the sales process. It is based on research into the thought process of the buyer. Your customers go through five buying decisions when making a major purchase. These decisions occur in a pre-determined sequence (Salesperson, Company, Product, Price and Time to Buy), shown as follows:

The Sales Board (authors of Action Selling) conducted studies of over 1250 salespeople. The Action Selling certified salespeople grew their sales at twice the rate of non-certified salespeople (15.8% vs 7.7%), and improved margins by .5%. The reference materials, theory and tools are great, however the real value comes when you apply the concepts to actual sales and customers.

The process is challenging both for experienced and new sales people.
